The Alecto BPB20 fire prevention set consists of 2 mini smoke detectors (model SA-110) and 2 magnetic mounting sets (model MK-2). The major advantage of the SA-110 is that the smoke detector is supplied with a strong battery that has a lifespan of a whopping 10 years. Smoke detector obligation from July 1, 2022

From July 1, 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every living floor in your home and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route runs. The Building Decree will be amended, making it a legal obligation to comply. This applies to both owner-occupied and rental homes, and both existing and new construction.

You no longer need to climb a ladder with a drill to drill holes in the smoothly plastered ceiling. You also don't have to fiddle with small screws to securely attach the smoke detector to the surface. If you want to install an Alecto smoke detector, proceed as follows:

• You prepare the ladder and take the smoke detector.
• You climb up, stick one magnetic strip to the ceiling and one strip to the smoke detector.
• You place the strips on top of each other.
• Done! Your home is one step closer to complete fire safety.
• Also suitable for carbon monoxide detectors, heat detectors, and the like.
