The Alecto BPB17 fire prevention set consists of 1 smoke detector (model SA-16) and 1 carbon monoxide detector (model COA3910). The smoke detector quickly alerts to smoke and fire. Once installed, this smoke detector warns everyone in the house with a loud, unmistakable sound signal in the event of a fire situation. With the Alecto COA3910 carbon monoxide detector, you are immediately alerted to carbon monoxide (CO) detection. The detector has a lifespan of up to 10 years. The detector features a textured granular wall structure, making it inconspicuous and aesthetically pleasing in almost any interior.

Temporary Off Button

There are situations where you might want to temporarily deactivate the smoke detector. For example, when you're indoor grilling with a group of people or hosting a party with smokers present. The SA-16 has a convenient timeout button that allows you to temporarily disable the alarm when the situation requires it.

Smoke detector complete package

The smoke detector comes with an alkaline 9V battery with a long lifespan. The package also includes a base plate for attaching the smoke detector to the wall or ceiling, as well as the necessary screws and plugs. Smoke detector requirement from July 1, 2022

Starting from July 1, 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every residential floor of your house and in enclosed spaces that serve as escape routes. The Building Decree is being amended, making it a legal obligation to comply with this requirement. This applies to both purchased and rented homes, as well as existing and new constructions.

Housing with Wall Texture

The housing of the Alecto COA3910 carbon monoxide detector, also known as CO detector, is conspicuously inconspicuous. The detector is designed with a textured granular wall structure, allowing it to blend seamlessly into almost any wall. The CO detector is compact (75 x 106 x 35 mm) and can be mounted on the wall or placed on a surface.

Warning for Lower Carbon Monoxide Concentrations

Carbon monoxide detectors display the concentration of carbon monoxide in parts per million (ppm). Legally, CO detectors must sound an alarm when a detected concentration of carbon monoxide exceeds 50 ppm for 60 minutes. Even when you're asleep, an alarm with >85dB will not go unnoticed.

However, prolonged exposure to lower concentrations of CO is harmful to health. The Alecto COA3910 carbon monoxide detector provides a warning when a concentration of 30 ppm is detected for 60 minutes.

Additional Insight via the Display

The COA3910 display provides additional insight. It displays the concentration of carbon monoxide, typically shown as 000 ppm. The display also indicates battery status and shows notifications for high CO concentrations, test mode, and any errors.
