Ideally, you’d want to keep an eye on what happens around your home or business premises. A simple, easy-to-install yet effective outdoor camera would do the job. That's the DVC-215IP. The DVC-215IP gives you 24/7 monitoring capabilities. You can instantly view the images on your own smartphone or tablet.

Outdoor camera notifications

You can configure your outdoor Wi-Fi camera to notify you on your tablet or smartphone if the system detects any motion. If so, you simply switch on the connection, see what’s going on and decide what you want to do next. You could start recording a video with the push of a button for later use, or simply take a snapshot.

Secure connection

The connection between the Alecto DVC-215IP Wi-Fi camera and your phone or tablet is established via a secure server. This server only takes care of establishing the data connection.

Without any intervention, the exchange of images and sound is directly transferred from the camera to your smart device. The images do not run through a central server and are therefore protected against hackers.

This is a big advantage over IP surveillance cameras offered elsewhere. Those cameras look the same, but their technical and software operation is not as good nor as safe. Additionally, the Alecto app is password protected in the same way you would expect your email account or banking app to be.

Easy installation

Alecto's Home & Security range is designed and tested in our own R&D centre at our head office in Den Bosch. We focus on user-friendliness and ease of installation. This also applies to the DVC-155IP. The camera is easy to install and suitable for wall mounting. You simply connect it to your home network via Wi-Fi or LAN cable. The iOS or Android app helps you through the software installation step by step. Even if you are less tech savvy, putting this outdoor camera to work is easy to do.
