This allows you to view all information about this smoke detector in the free Tuya / Smart Life app on your tablet or smartphone. This smart smoke detector is connectable and expandable for alarm throughout the entire house. This smoke detector also works perfectly without the application.

The Alecto Smart Zigbee smoke detector is an indispensable device for detecting fire in your home. With the Smart Zigbee smoke detector, you are alerted in case of fire wherever you are. This smart smoke detector from Alecto has a loud local alarm and sends you a push notification on your phone when smoke is detected.

In case of fire or smoke development at night, you may miss the notification on your smartphone. That is why this smoke detector has an extra loud alarm of 85 dB. This quickly wakes you up so you can take action immediately.

An intuitive battery system

It often happens that people do not replace the batteries of their smoke detectors because they have to do it too often or do not know the battery is empty. The Alecto Smart Zigbee smoke detector is equipped with a “low battery warning” and shows the battery status via the app, which means you are always sure that your smoke detector is working. This smoke detector works on the Zigbee protocol, which uses only a minimal amount of energy, guaranteeing a long battery life of 12 months. After installation of the smoke detector, you automatically receive a reminder when it is time to replace the battery.

Advantages of Zigbee

This smoke detector works on the open Zigbee protocol. Compared to wifi, Zigbee has a larger range, lower power consumption and is also more stable. In addition, a router can only handle a maximum number of connected devices. The Zigbee bridge counts as only 1 device, but countless devices can be connected to it.

Smoke detector obligation from 1 July 2022

From 1 July 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every residential floor in your home and in enclosed spaces where an escape route passes through. The Building Decree will be amended and it will therefore become a legal obligation to comply with this. This applies to both owner-occupied and rental homes and to both existing and new buildings.
