This allows you to view all information regarding this smoke detector in the free Tuya / Smart Life app on your tablet or smartphone. This smart smoke detector is linkable and expandable for alarming throughout the entire house. This smoke detector also works fine without the application.

The Alecto Smart Zigbee smoke detector is an indispensable device for detecting fire in your home. With the Smart Zigbee smoke detector, you will be alerted wherever you are in the event of a fire. This smart smoke detector from Alecto has a loud local alarm and sends you a push notification on your phone when smoke is detected.

In the event of a fire or smoke development at night, you may miss the notification on your smartphone. That is why this smoke detector has an extra loud alarm of 85 dB. This will quickly wake you up so you can take swift action.

An intuitive battery system

The Alecto Smart Zigbee smoke detector is equipped with a battery with a "nearly empty warning" and indicates the status of the battery via the app, which means you always know for sure that your smoke detector is working. This smoke detector operates on the Zigbee protocol, which means it uses only a minimal amount of energy, guaranteeing a long battery life of 12 months. After installation of the smoke detector, you will automatically receive a reminder when it is time to replace the battery.

Advantages of Zigbee

This smoke detector operates on the open Zigbee protocol. Compared to wifi, Zigbee has a greater range, lower power consumption and is also more stable. Furthermore, a router can only handle a maximum number of connected devices. The Zigbee bridge only counts as 1 device, but countless devices can be connected to it. 

Smoke detector obligation from 1 July 2022

From 1 July 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every residential floor in your home and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route passes. The Building Decree is being amended and therefore it becomes a legal obligation to comply with this. This applies to both owner-occupied and rental properties and both existing and new-build homes.
