Ten-year warranty

The high-quality sensor and strong Lithium battery last for 10 years. Stop worrying if the alarm still works. This also means 10 years of no beeps caused by an empty battery or a sensor that’s no longer good. Place it, or hang it up

This carbon monoxide alarm does not necessarily have to be mounted on the wall, as you can also place the Alecto COA4010 somewhere. With its compact size (40 x ø 110 mm / 1.5 x 4 inches), you can also take the alarm on holiday with you.

You’d often place a CO alarm in rooms with a combustion source (which is a possible source for CO formation). You could consider the following sources in your home:

• heaters such as central heating boilers, fireplaces and (pellet) stoves;
• hot water appliances such as geysers, gas and combi boilers;
• cooking appliances such as gas stoves, gas or wood ovens.

In other rooms (without a combustion source) you should place the carbon monoxide alarm at breathing height, depending on the activities that are common in the room. This can be at sitting or walking height in a living room, or at sleeping height in a bedroom. All instructions for the best placement are found in the manual, in a clear and comprehensible way, supplemented with clear illustrations.

It also warns you of any low carbon monoxide concentrations

Carbon monoxide alarms display the carbon monoxide concentrations in ppm. Ppm stands for parts per million, or number of parts per 1 million particles. It’s required by law that CO alarms go off at a detected concentration of carbon monoxide of 50 ppm or more for 60 minutes. Even when you sleep, an alarm of >85dB will not go unnoticed.

However, a long-term presence of a low CO concentration is also harmful to your health. The Alecto COA4010 carbon monoxide alarm will warn you if a concentration of 20 ppm or less is detected for 60 minutes.

Additional insight on the display

The COA4010’s display offers additional insight. As soon as any carbon monoxide is detected, the concentration is shown on the display. The usual value is 000 ppm, which the display won’t indicate. Furthermore, the display provides insight into the battery status and shows notifications when the concentration of CO is too high, whether it’s in test mode or has any error messages.

The highest quality

Like all Alecto carbon monoxide alarms, they are of the highest quality and comply with the European Standard (EN50291-1:2018). The Alecto COA4010 has a test button which allows you to periodically test whether the carbon monoxide alarm still works properly. No more worries about carbon monoxide with this useful CO alarm!
