Smoke detector obligation from 1 July 2022

From 1 July 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every residential floor of your home and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route passes. The Building Decree has been amended, making compliance a legal requirement. This applies to both owner-occupied and rental homes, existing buildings and new constructions.
